Patna, Nov 5 (TheBiharPosT/IBNS): The police have taken into custody two female teachers of a premier Patna-based missionary school for allegedly sexually brutalising a lower kindergarten girl student.

The teachers from St Xavier’s High School, located in the heart of Patna—the capital of Bihar state—were taken into custody on Friday after the victim’s parents filed a complaint with the police when the school administration did not appear serious over the incident.

In her complaint, the victim’s parents have charged the female teachers with indulging in “unnatural sex” with the LKG girl student in the school’s rest room.

“Badi Mam would guard at the room gate while the Chhoti Mam would do ‘ganda kam’ (bad act),” was how the girl told the parents, prompting them to file a case.

Medical tests of the student too have confirmed sexual assault of the little girl.

Police apprehend the accused that teachers may have been running the pedophilia racket.

On Thursday, the victim student and her parents got their statements recorded in a local court.

Apart from this, a forensic team also visited the school premises and collected evidence from the spot.

“We are interrogating both the teachers after taking them into custody. We have enough evidence to arrest them,” Patna’s senior superintendent of police Manu Maharaj told the media today adding the police were investigating why they were involved in such “act”.

The National Commission for Women while taking cognizance of the case has sought a detailed report from the police.

“It’s shameful to know such dirty acts taking place in a temple of learning,” said Commission member Sushma Sahu.
