Reduced visibility leads to 20-car pile-up at Yamuna Expressway near Mathura

New Delhi, Nov 3 (IBNS): At least 20 cars piled up at Yamuna Expressway near Mathura on Thursday morning as the Delhi-NCR region continues to be affected by smog, according to media reports.

Several people are believed to be injured in the pile-up, reported NDTV.

North India, usually faces dense fog through the winter season.

Delhi and its surroundings have been facing severe air pollution for the past few days, with the weekend Diwali celebration increasing the pollution level several times.

On Monday, reduced visibility owing to smog also resulted in  five cars ramming each other on the Delhi Noida Direct (DND) Flyway, according to media reports.
