Mauritius finance minister calls on Indian ministers Arun Jaitley and Kalraj Mishra

New Delhi, Sep 15 (IBNS): Finance Minister of Mauritius, Pravind Jugnauth, who is currently in India, met Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Union Minister of MSME, Kalraj Mishra, on Thursday in New Delhi.

India's Revenue Secretary, Dr. Hasmukh Adhia was also present during the meeting of the finance ministers of both countries.

Kalraj Mishra, Union Minister of MSME, discussed possible areas of bilateral cooperation with Finance Minister Pravind Jugnauth and a team of delegates from Mauritius.

Mishra said that his ministry will work towards establishing Tool Rooms and Technology Centers to help skill people in specific sectors.

He also said that his ministry will offer all possible technological assistance to develop MSME sectors in Mauritius.

Senior officers from MSME ministry discussed a range of issues of bilateral cooperation with the Mauritius delegation.

During the interaction, Pravind Jugnauth said,  “We seek India’s assistance to develop handloom and handicraft sectors in Mauritius”, highlighting other possible areas of bilateral cooperation.

Kalraj Mishra directed the ministry officials to make actionable points based on this interaction and work towards taking this bilateral cooperation to fruition.
