Assam: Seven people killed in two road mishaps

Guwahati, Sept 11 (IBNS): At least seven people including four students were killed in two separate road mishaps in Assam on Sunday morning, police said.

According to the reports, four students were killed when a speedy vehicle hit them at NH-31 near Dangaigaon in Chirang district on Sunday morning.

Police said that the deceased students of Dakshin Bijni High school were identified as Ansar Ali, Nizamul Hoque, Dilwar Hussain and Karimul Ali.

Local people had blocked the NH-31 following the mishap and demanded the administration to take appropriate action to control speed of vehicles.

In separate incident, at least three persons killed when a speedy Bolero pick up van hit a roadside parked truck at Rowta Chariali in Udalguri district.
