New Delhi, Aug 22 (IBNS): Reiterating his stand on the current turmoil in Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Monday, "The government and nation stand with Jammu amd Kashmir."

He said a permanent solution is necessary and there has to be dialogues.

Modi also said there is "need for political parties to work together to find a solution for Kashmir."

"Political parties should reach out to people and convey their support," he added.

Led by former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, a joint delegation of opposition parties from Jammu and Kashmir called on the Prime Minister on Monday to apprise him of the situation in Kashmir.

The opposition wants a 'political solution' to the turmoil in Kashmir, the media reported.
