All three convicted in the 2009 Delhi murder of IT professional Jigisha Ghosh
Additional Sessions Judge Sandeep Yadav convicted three men – Amit Shukla, Baljeet Malik and Ravi Kapoor — who are also accused in the killing of TV journalist Soumya Vishwanathan in the capital in 2008.
Ghosh, 28, was abducted by a gang when she was dropped near her south Delhi apartment by an office car. She had just returned after working the late shift at her call centre in Noida. The incident took place on March 18, 2009.
The miscreants, who forced Ghosh to share her ATM pin, drove her to a place on the outskirts of Delhi before killing her.
The suspects were caught after they were caught by security cameras withdrawing cash using Ghosh's ATM card.
After they were arrested, the police said that the same gang had shot dead TV news producer Soumya Vishwanathan who was driving home from her office in the wee hours of September 30, 2008, only six months before the Jigisha murder took place.
