Received notice over husband Robert's land deal: Priyanka

India Blooms News Service | | 22 Jun 2016, 11:06 pm
New Delhi, Jun 22 (IBNS): Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Wednesday said they have finally got the notice where her husband Robert Vadra has been formally asked to explain a land deal in Rajasthan allegedly used for vast money-laundering.
Speaking to reporters she said: "Apparently we received it (the notice) at 4 PM today but you received it a day before," said Priyanka.

She alleged that the news had been leaked to reporters by the government before they received it.

Robert Vadra is in major controversy for acquiring two lands in Haryana and Rajasthan.

In Rajasthan's Bikaner, his firm allegedly bought about 70 acres of land in 2010 for 70 lakhs and sold it three years later for about five crores, reports said.

The deal happened when the Congress was in power at the Centre and in the state.
