Will engage with every country by end of this year: Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, June 19 (IBNS) External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Sunday said his government has the aim of engaging with all the country present in the world by 2016.

"Around 65 countries are there where no one has gone on a ministerial level so far," Swaraj said while addressing a press conference here.

"By end of 2016, there is a goal that there should not be any country that we don't have relations with," she said.

The first goal of visiting the nations were to increase FDI.

"We want to speak about the achievement from  these visits.In the past two years there has been $55 billion in FDI. It an increase of 43% from UPA regime," she said.

Speaking the achievement, she said: "The second achievement is to seek the participation of other countries in our flagship programmes like Smart Cities."

She said India will hope to become a member of NSG by the end of the year.

"We hope to become member of NSG by end of the year," she said.

"China doesn't oppose India's membership. The Asian country  is speaking on the procedure," Swaraj said.
