Former Bihar CM Jitanram Manjhi's car attacked in Gaya
Manjhi was on his way to meet the family of the Lok Janshakti Party leader Sudesh Paswan, who was killed on Wednesday
allegedly by Maoists.
Manjhi's vehicle was caught in clashes that erupted following the murder and a mob pelted stones at his car.
The protesters also set a vehicle in Manjhi's convoy on fire.
The police caned the mob and fired in the air to quell the crowd.
Manjhi, a former leader of Nitish Kumar's Janata Dal United, was Bihar chief minister for nine months till February last year when Kumar again assumed the office.
Manjhi now heads a party he formed after being expelled from the JDU.
