New Delhi, May 24 (IBNS) Making an entry into the government's smart cities list is Kolkata's New Town along with 12 other places, according to reports.

Others who have made the cut are Dharamshala, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Bhagalpur, Warangal, Agartala, Imphal, Faridabad, Raipur, Ranchi, Port Blair and Panaji.

These smart cities will enjoy uninterrupted power supply, water supply, internet connection, along with host of other amenities.

A list of 20 cities was also presented earlier by the government.

The previous list, which left out cities from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Bengal, was handed severe criticism, with several politicos from the state crying foul against the central government.
