Kolkata, Jan 8 (IBNS) The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday interrogated the daughter of artist Shubhaprasanna- Jonaki Bhattacharya- in connection with its ongoing probe into the Saradha financial scam, sources said.

After receiving call from the probe agency, Jonaki Bhattacharya attended ED's office at CGO Complex in Kolkata's Salt Lake area on Friday morning and she was quizzed for nearly one hour. Her statement has also been recorded, reports claimed.

Besides Jonaki, the ED on Friday interrogated Sashi Kiran Gandhi, the wife of jailed businessman Ramesh Gandhi, for hours.

Ramesh Gandhi was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sept 7, for his alleged involvement in multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam.

Meanwhile, a local court on Friday rejected the bail plea of former union minister Matang Sinh's estranged wife Manoranjana Sinh, who was also held in connection with Saradha scam.
