US Secy of State calls Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, May 29 (IBNS) US Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday called External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj to discuss strengthening ties between the two countries, said reports on Thursday.

It was Kerry's first call to Swaraj after she took charge of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) earlier on Wednesday.

According to reports Swaraj and Kerry stressed on strengthening the US-India strategic partnership.

 
The two leaders expressed hope of meeting each other soon.
