Guwahati, Aug 16 (IBNS): Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Sunday said that the state government will soon set up State Education Commission for overall development in the education sector.

"We have decided to set up a high level knowledge commission and State Education Commission for overall educational development in the state, " Gogoi said.

He said that, smart cities can develop only through smart villages.

"We will soon set up Rural Planning and Development Authority to develop smart villages," the Assam CM said.

On other hand Gogoi urged to the media and civil society to also present positive facts so that Assam gets known for right reasons.

"The youth today is not interested in bandhs and blockades. They want jobs and growth. We must ensure realization of their dreams, " Gogoi said.

"Efforts are on to set up Assam Skill Development Mission for convergence of all skilled development programs towards ensuring skilled Assam," Gogoi said.
