Rajasthan: Live wire falls on bus, over 20 electrocuted

Tonk, June 12 (IBNS) More than 20 people were electrocuted as the bus in which they were traveling came in contact with a live wire in Rajasthan's Tonk district on Friday.

The mishap occurred when they were going to a wedding party, reports said.

The police reached the spot after the mishap.

Several others were injured in the incident who were taken to hospital for treatment.

Mourning the loss of lives in the accident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said as tweeted by PMO India: "The bus incident at Tonk, Rajasthan is very heart-rending. My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives."

Condoling the deaths in the mishap, Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje tweeted: "Deeply saddened by the Tonk Bus incident. I pray for the victims & their families. We're making all efforts to provide immediate relief."
