J&K: Militant shot dead near Line of Control

Srinagar, Sep 26 (IBNS): Security forces on Tuesday shot dead one militant after foiling an infiltration bid in Zorawar area of Uri sector near Line of Control of North Kashmir.

According to reports, army shot dead a foreign militant who was trying to cross into the Indian side.


A Srinagar-based defence spokesperson told IBNS that the militant's body has been recovered along with a weapon.

He further said clearing operation is on in the area.

Since Sunday, four militants were killed at Kalgai village, near the Line of Control in Uri sector.
