Indian benchmark indices close lower on Friday

Mumbai, Jul 14 (IBNS): The Indian market ended lower on Friday with BSE Sensex down 16.63 points at 32,020.75 and the NSE Nifty down 5.35 points at 9,886.35.

NSE Nifty failed to retain its intraday high of  9,913.30.

Key gainers on Friday were NTPC, Aurobindo Pharma, GAIL, ACC, SBI, Cipla, Reliance, Bharti Infratel and Bajaj Auto while top losers included TCS, Wipro, Tata Motors, BHEL and Coal India.
