Bangladesh registers 30 new COVID-19 deaths

Dhaka: Bangladesh registered 30 more deaths related to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, media reports said.

The latest figures took the total deaths in the country due to COVID-19 in the country to  7,428.

The country also logged more than 508,000 coronavirus cases with 834 people having tested positive over the same period, reports Dhaka Tribune.

Meanwhile, the global number of people, who have died of the coronavirus, has surpassed 1.75 million people, Johns Hopkins University (JHU) said.

The exact death toll stood at 1,750,057 people as of 03:50 GMT.

More than 79,8 million people have tested positive for COVID-19 across the world, JHU adds.

The United States, India and Brazil remain the worst-hit nations by the pandemic.
