India registers over 96,000 fresh COVID-19 cases, 1209 deaths

New Delhi: India continued to register a massive daily rise in fresh COVID -19 cases as the country recorded over 96,000 new cases in the past 24 hours, officials said.

With the registration of 96,551 new cases, India's COVID19 tally has now crossed the 45 lakh mark.

India recorded 1209 deaths in the past 24 hour, taking the death toll due to the disease to 76271.

India currently has 9,43,480 active cases and 35,42,664 discharged patients.
