India reports 2,364 new Covid-19 cases in 24 hours

New Delhi/UNI: India has recorded 2,364 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, taking the total tally of cases to 4,31,29,563 in the country, as per the Health Ministry data on Thursday.

As many as 10 fresh fatalities were also recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the total death count in the country, as a result of coronavirus, to 5,24,303.

The active cases stand at 15,419 which now comprise 0.04% of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate stands at 98.75%.

Meanwhile, 2,582 recoveries were reported in the last 24 hours, increasing the total recoveries to 4,25,89,841. On the vaccination front, the government has been continuously speeding up the vaccination drive across the country.

According to the bulletin issued by the Ministry on Thursday, 84.54 crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 4,77,540 tests have been conducted.

"India has administered 191.79 crore doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive," the Ministry data said.

More than 193.53 crore more vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far.

Over 16.93 crore balance and unutilized Covid-19 vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered, the ministry said.
