Indian benchmark indices end lower on Wednesday

Mumbai, Nov 8 (IBNS): The Indian market ended lower on Wednesday with BSE Sensex down 151.95 points at 33,218.81 and the NSE Nifty was down 47 points at 10303.20.

According to market reports, banks, metals, oil & gas and select auto stocks pushed the indices lower, offset by better performance from select technology and pharma stocks.

Top gainers included Axis Bank, Tech Mahindra, Asian Paints, Cipla, Sun Pharma and Coal India while Bharti Airtel, Vedanta, BHEL, Tata Motors, Tata Motors (D) and SBI declined.
