Indian benchmark indices close higher on Thursday, NSE Nifty stops short of reaching 9,900 mark

Mumbai, Jul 13 (IBNS): The Indian market closed higher on Thursday with NSE Nifty very near the 9,900 mark, according to media reports.

BSE Sensex was up 232.56 points at 32037.38 and NSE Nifty was up 75.60 points at 9891.70.

Top gainers included ITC, Yes Bank, Bharti Airtel, Iddea Cellular, ICICI Bank, Hindalco, BHEL, and L&T while ONGC, Bharti Infratel, Asian Paints, Tata Motors, Eicher Motors, M&M and Coal India declined.
