Indian market closes lower on Tuesday
Mumbai, Mar 21 (IBNS): The Indian market closed lower on Tuesday with BSE Sensex down 33.29 points at 29,485.45 and NSE Nifty down 5.35 points at 9,121.50.
However, Avenue Supermarts, better known as D-Mart, was up more than 114 percent following its debut on BSE on Tuesday.
Some of the key stocks that gained on Tuesday were ITC, ONGC, Infosys, L&T, Bharti Infratel, Ambuja Cements and HUL while some of the key stocks that declined were Dr Reddy's, Axis Bank, Idea Cellular, GAIL, Maruti Suzuki and Reliance.
