Indian benchmarks ended in the red on Monday

Mumbai, Dec 19 (IBNS): The Indian market ended in the red on Monday with BSE Sensex down 114.86 points at 26374.70 and NSE Nifty down 35.10 points at 8104.35.

According to reports, banking, financial, auto and healthcare stocks largely pulled down the market but the decline was somewhat arrested by market heavyweights by ICICI Bank, Reliance Industries and ITC.

Some of the key stocks that gained on Monday were GAIL, ICICI Bank, RIL and Cipla while HDFC, Bharti Airtel, Adani Ports, SBI, Axis Bank, Dr Reddy's and L&T.
