Sensex ends flat at 74248.22

The BSE Sensex on Friday ended almost flat at 74248.22, rising 20.59 pts as Realty, Bankex and FMCG stocks rose.

The RBI kept its rate unchanged for the seventh consecutive meeting today.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) gained 0.95 pts at 22,513.70.

The NSE registered days high and low at 22,537.60 and 22,427.60 pts respectively.

The Market remained volatile, as the Sensex moved up 60 pts at 74287.02.

It was further gained 134 pts at 74361.11, the days high, before closing at 74248.22, up 20.59 pts from it previous close.

Meanwhile, it was dropped 281 pts at 73946.82, days low.

The stocks that rose were Realty by 1.49 pc, Bankex by 0.83 pc and FMCG by 0.51 pc.

The Mid cap rose by 0.50 pc and Small Cap by 0.50 pc.

In 30 scrips, 12 advanced, while 18 declined.

The gainers were Kotak Bank by 2.09 pc to Rs 1785.25, Bajaj Finserv by 1.56 pc to Rs 1681, HDFC bank by 1.41 pc to Rs 1549.40 and ITC by 1.21 pc to Rs 427.85.

The losers were Ultracemco by 1.82 pc to Rs 9824.05, L& T by 1.54 pc to Rs 3741.65, Bharti Airtel by 1.28 pc to Rs 1191.55 and Bajaj Finance by 1.25 pc to Rs 7191.20.
