Indian Rupee Indian Rupee down 12 paise against USD
Mumbai: The Rupee on Wednesday slid 12 paise to close at 79.89 against the USD on rising demand for US Dollar from bankers and exporters, dealers at the Foreign Exchange said.
The local unit fell 9 paise at 79.87 in early trade, and closed at 79.89, sliding 12 paise as compared to its previous close.
The Rupee unit registered days high and low at 79.85 and 79.92 respectively against the US Dollar, dealer added.
