Indian Rupee Indian Rupee down 5 paise against USD
Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Wednesday fell by five paise to end in the negative at 74.24 against the USD on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
A minor fluctuation was seen during the day, as the local unit eased by four paise to 74.23 in the opening session and finished at 74.24, down by five paise as compared to its previous close.
The Rupee was dropped due to a strong dollar against other world currencies amid weak equity market, dealers said.
The local unit registered the days high and low at 74.26 and 74.20 respectively.
