Indian Rupee Mumbai/UNI: The Rupee on Monday smartly recovered, registering 44 paise gain to close at 74.30 against the USD on selling US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit jumped 22 paise to 74.52 in early trade.
Till the end of the session, it rallied 44 paise to 74.30 as compared to its previous close.
The Rupee rebounded due to weak dollar against other world currencies amid strong
equity market, dealer said.
The local unit registered days high and low at 74.58 and 74.27 respectively.
