Mumbai/UNI: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange on Thursday advanced by 231 pts at 39,305.42 in opening trade as all sectoral indexes were in the green.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too rose by 58 pts to 11,607.95.

The Sensex registered intraday high and low at 39,326.98 and 39,247.07 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intraday high and low at 11,610.25 and 11,589 respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up by 0.45 pc and Small Cap by 0.46 pc.

In 30 scrips, 22 advanced while 8 declined.

The gainers were IndusInd Bank by 3.02 pc to Rs 585.25, HDFC by 2.48 pc to Rs 1860.25, SBI by 1.38 pc to Rs 212.75, Asian Paints by 1.24 pc to Rs 1995.50 and M& M by 1.30 pc to Rs 621.15.

The losers were Bajaj Auto by 1.07 pc to Rs 3050, Bajaj Finance by 0.90 pc to Rs 3611.70, NTPC by 0.39 pc to Rs 102.35 and Bajaj Finserv by 0.30 pc to Rs 6539.40.
