Indian Market: Sensex advances by 385 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The BSE Sensex on Wednesday rallied further by 385 pts at 38,073.18 as buying was seen across the board.

The Nifty of National Stock Exchange too gained by 109.20 pts to 11,204.45.

The sectoral indices include Energy, Bankex, Finance, Realty and Technology stocks boosted the market.

The Sensex registered intraday high and low at 38,134.89 and 37,889.59 pts respectively.

The Nifty registered intraday high and low at 11,222.05 and 11,144.50 respectively.

The Mid Cap moved up by 0.97 pc and Small Cap by 1.03 pc.

In 30 scrips, 27 advanced while 3 declined.

The gainers were Axis Bank by 3.24 pc to Rs 442.80, Bajaj Finance by 2.44 pc to Rs 3315, IndusInd Bank by 2.29 pc to Rs 503.90, Ultracemco by 2.26 pc to Rs 4093.70 and Bajaj Finserv by 2.26 pc to Rs 6303.45.

The losers were Powergrid by 1.04 pc to Rs 176.50, Nestle India by 0.60 pc to Rs 16,483.45 and Hind Unilever by 0.22 pc to Rs 2193.10.
