Sense moves up by 439.54 points in week

Mumbai/UNI: The Indian market remained strong for another week, as the benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) surged 439.54 points or 1.27 pc at 35,171.27 despite rise in the coronavirus cases worldwide and the military stand-off between India and China at the border.

The NSE Nifty gained 138.60 points or 1.35 pc to settle at 10,383.

The BSE Mid-Cap advanced 454.60 or 3.55 pc to settle at 13,258.44. BSE Small-Cap rallied 353.17 points or 2.88 pc to settle at 12,630.28.

On Monday shrugging negative global cues, BSE Sensex climbed 179.59 points to settle at 34,911.32. Nifty rose 66.80 points to settle at 10,311.20.

On Tuesday, the Sensex jumped 519.11 points to settle at 35,430.43, while Nifty rallied 159.80 points to settle at 10,471.

On Wednesday, the Sensex tumbled 561.45 points to settle at 34,868.98. Nifty slumped 165.70 points or 1.58 pc to settle at 10,305.30,tracking negative cues from global peers.

On Thursday, it further dipped by 26.88 pts to 34,842.10.

As the trading was volatile as the June 25, 2020 F&O contracts expired on the same day.

Nifty fell 16.4 points to settle at 10,288.90.

On Friday June 26, 2020, the market ended with strong gains as Sensex rallied 329.17 points to settle at 35,171.27. Nifty too, added 94.10 to settle at 10,383.
