Indian market: Sensex falls 51.73 pts

Mumbai/UNI: The benchmark index of Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on Wednesday fell by 51.73 points to settle at 40,817.74 following Iran's missile strike on US-led forces in Iraq and weak economic prospects for the current fiscal year 2019-20.

The National Stock Exchange (NSE) too eased by 27.60 points to 12,025.35.

The Sensex registered day's high and low at 40,866.36 and 40,476.55 points respectively.

The Nifty recorded day's high and low at 12,044.95 and 11,929.60 points respectively.
