Kolkata, Dec 7 (IBNS): KKN Group of Companies on Thursday introduced Tollywood actors Rachna Banerjee and Saheb Chatterjee as ambassadors of the mustard oil brand 'Tripti'.
"This is not a re-launch since the brand recall for Tripti has always been there. This is more of a reconnect initiative with our target audience after a brief hiatus," said managing director, KKN Group, Kausshik Kumar Nath.
Headquartered at Kolkata, the Rs.450 crore company has offices in Tripura, Bhubaneshwar, Siliguri, Guwahati, Ranchi, Muzzafarpur and Patna.
Apart from the Tripti mustard oil, the brand also offers 'Tripti Soya Chunks' and 'Sunshine' Sunflower Oil, along with the wholesale business of tea in West Bengal, sourced from Assam and Darjeeling.
"We were 24-26% of the market when we were there in 2010. We plan to get back there in another 3-4 months," said Nath.
"We have agreements with Big Bazaar, Arambagh and More to retail our products. We already have 150 distributors here and are looking at making 450 dealers in six months," he added.
