Kolkata, Nov 24 (IBNS): It was a starry affair on Friday as Orion Entertainment hosted the grand premiere of Anjan Dutt's latest directorial venture 'Dutta Vs Dutta'.
The premiere was attended by many of the eminent personalities from the industry like Soumitra Chatterjee, Kahani famed director Sujoy Ghosh, actors Indraneil Sengupta and wife Barkha, guitarist Amit Dutta and actress Sudeshna Roy among others.
The cast and crew of the film, including the director-actor Anjan Dutt, actors Ronodeep Bose, Arpita Chatterjee, Shankar, Rita Koyral, Rupa Ganguly, Parno Mitra, editor Arghyakamal Mitra and singer Rupankar Bagchi, also attended the premiere.
The story of the film focuses on Anjan Dutt's childhood and most of the film has been shot in a house of Amherst Street in Kolkata.
Said Dutta," I have tried to recapture the turbulent College Street, the pub culture of Park Street and the emergence of Gautam Chattopadhyay."
The film has been based in the backdrop of Calcutta in 1970s, a period when the city witnessed the emergence of rock music bands, the arrival of Hippie culture and also the Naxalite movement.
Sudeshna remarked,"It's a wonderful film, portraying our time. I can actually relate myself to the film. Arpita is very similar to Anjan's sister in the film."
Dutta also appreciated the performances of the two upcoming actors, Parno Mitra and Ronodeep Bose at the premiere.
"Ronodeep will be the future star of Bengali film industry," said Dutt.
Arpita, who played the role a rebellious sister in the film, said,"I don't like to see the film as a trump-card for my image, rather I see the film as a product. The producers should get the money back, only then everyone gets their share."
The actress is also looking forward to act with husband Prosenjit Chatterjee on screen, but is in no hurry as she feels the right script has to come their way in order to rope them together.
