West Bengal: Illegal arms and bombs recovered from a SUV with Police sticker in Bagnan

Kolkata, Apr 18 (IBNS): Police on Monday evening recovered guns, live cartridges and crude bombs from a car with 'Police' sticker from Tamultala area under Bagnan Police Station limits in West Bengal's Howrah district, reports said.

According to police reports, a mobile team of police stopped a suspected Toyota Innova car (WB 20G 9411) on National Highway-6. During the search, two unlicensed pistols, at least five rounds of  live ammunition and few crude bombs were seized from the vehicle.

Four passengers of the car were arrested and the rest three managed to escape from the spot.

The arrested persons are being interrogated. Police have started investigation into the matter and a search operation to find the trio.
