One policeman killed, another killed in J&K

Srinagar, May 25 (IBNS) A policeman was killed while another was injured after gunmen opened fire in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Wednesday.

Two cops, including a Personal Security Officer (PSO) of National Conference District president, were wounded after gunmen opened fire at them.

An official said the PSO, identified as Shabir Ahmad, sustained serious bullet injuries in firing at Manghama village of the district.

He later scummed to his injuries on his way to hospital.

He said that another cop, identified as Riyaz Ahmad, who was not on duty and was in the village to attend a lunch party, was also injured in firing.

The gunmen, he said, decamped with the service rifle of the PSO.
