| @indiablooms | May 09, 2021, at 04:15 am

Sri Lanka has condemned the terrorist attack on former President of Maldives Mohamed Nasheed, and expressed solidarity with the island nation’s people and government.

Nasheed, the Speaker of the Maldivian Parliament, was critical and in intensive care after the May 6 bomb attack.

“At this most critical time, the people and the Government of Sri Lanka join in expressing solidarity with the people and the Government of Maldives while strongly condemning all forms of violence,” internet newspaper ColomboPage said quoting a Sri Lankan Foreign Ministry statement.
