RAB detains 1 man from Chattogram with 9,910 yaba

Dhaka, June 29 (IBNS): Bangladesh Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) on Saturday claimed to have detained an alleged drug peddler with 9,910 pieces of yaba pills from Kotwali area of country's Chattogram city, media reports said.

The detained person was identified as Jakir Hossain.

Tipped-off, a Rab-7 team conducted a drive at Andarkilla intersection under Kotwali Police Station around 1:45pm and detained Jakir with the contraband yaba pills in his possession, Rab official told The Daily Star.

Major Mehedi Hasan of Rab-7 told the newspaper that Jakir confessed that he was intending to sell the drugs.
