Pakistan records 6,127 coronavirus infections in past 24 hours, highest number of daily cases since June 14

Islamabad: Pakistan, which is one of the worst hit nations, has reported 6,127 coronavirus infections over the last 24 hours, media reports said.

This is the highest daily COVID-19 case recorded in a single day period since June 14, 2020.

The total number of coronavirus cases has reached 756,285 while the positivity rate has climbed to 8.5 per cent, reports Dawn News.

Punjab reported the highest number of cases in the past 24 hours at 3,562.

The total deaths due to the virus in the country now stands at 16,243.
