Pakistan: Man slaughters wife, three daughters in Karachi

Karachi: A Pakistani man allegedly killed his wife and three daughters in Karachi city, media reports said on Wednesday.

He unsuccessfully tried to stab himself as well.

Korangi Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Abraiz Ali Abbasi told Dawn News that at 3pm, suspect Fawad, 42, “slaughtered” his wife and children in their house and then attempted suicide.

“The suspect was immediately taken to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where he is in critical condition,” he said.

“Upon hearing screams, the mother- and sister-in-law of the accused broke into the portion and found the man in critical condition and others dead,” he said.

Police have sealed the crime scene.

Police said the murder weapon has been recovered.

An investigation into the incident is going on.
