Gilgit:  Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly opposition leader  Advocate Amjad Hussain has slammed the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government and said it has failed to deliver.

Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, he was quoted as saying by Dawn News that the PTI government completed nine months in Gilgit-Baltistan but no government representative including chief minister was present in office to listen to public grievances.

The opposition leader, who is also local president of Pakistan Peoples Party, said people were facing numerous difficulties and hardships.

“Cabinet members are not serious. The chief minister has spent seven months in Islamabad out of nine months of his government to avoid public issues,” said Hussain.

The opposition leader said that inflation and unemployment were on the rise.

Hussain said there were lack of medical facilities for Covid-19 patients in the region
