Pakistan: Explosion rocks Kalat region of flood-ravaged Balochistan

Quetta, Pakistan: Unidentified terrorists detonated an improvised explosive device at the working site of Pakistan Petroleum Limited on the outskirts of Kalat region of Balochistan on Wednesday which left one local employee dead, media reports said on Friday.

Another employee was hurt in the incident.

The incident happened in the city at a time when Balochistan is ravaged by floods and rains.

The attack by unidentified men came on a day when a moderate earthquake jolted the district and its surrounding areas, Dawn News reported.

Levies officials told the newspaper the blast took place in the Sheikhri area, on the outskirts of Kalat town, near PPL working site. An improvised explosive device planted at the site went off when work was in progress.
