Pakistan against witnessing rise in COVID-19 positivity rate

Islamabad: Pakistan, a country that has witnessed several waves of the pandemic, is slowly witnessing the COVID-19 positivity rate touch to 6.1 percent.

It is the highest figure reached in the country since May 21.

It stood at 6.44 percent on that day.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 37,690 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours of which 2,327 came back positive.

The total number of COVID-19 cases recorded in the country now stands at 983,719.

The death toll due to the virus is 22,720.
