Nepal PM KP Sharma Oli inoculated with Indian COVID vaccine

Kathmandu/UNI: Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was vaccinated against the COVID-19 with the Indian-made Covishield vaccine here on Sunday.

According to local media reports, the prime minister inaugurated the second phase of the nationwide vaccination campaign at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital at capital Kathmandu.

The Himalayan nation had on February 21 received one million doses of Covishield vaccine manufactured by the Serum Institute of India (SII).

The local media reports further suggested that there is a huge need of COVID vaccines and the authorities in Nepal are worried about the its future supply.
