Kabul blast leaves Afghan air force pilot killed

Kabul: An Afghanistan air force pilot was killed in Kabul city on Saturday in an explosion that targeted his vehicle in Chahar Asiab district, media reports said.

Five civilians were wounded in the explosion, sources told Tolo News.

A second explosion targeted a vehicle which belonged to Afghan Raily Authority in Kabul in which three people were wounded, the news portal reported.

Afghanistan is witnessing a spike in violence ever since the foreign forces started leaving the country.

The Taliban insurgents have captured several regions in the country.

Clashes between Afghanistan security forces and Taliban are going on in different corners of Afghanistan for the past several weeks.
