Beijing, Jul 5 (IBNS): Images of Chinese deities flying business class is doing the rounds in Chinese social media and is the latest sensation in Mainland China, report said.

Three Chinese deity statues were seen travelling in a flight from Xiamen in China to the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur, the BBC reported.

The statues were of Mazu, Qianliyan and Shunfeng'er.

Mazu or Matsu is the Chinese Sea Goddess.

She is the protector of sailors and fishermen and the patroness of sea.

Qianliyan and Shunfeng'er are her heavenly guardian.

While Qianliyan is worshipped for his farsightedness, Shunfeng'er bears the ability to hear sounds carried by the wind.

They too are worshipped by sailors and fishermen alike.

The statues were travelling to Malaysian and Singapore as part of a cultural exchange.

The airline even issued the statues boarding passes!
