Bangladesh records 31 new COVID-19 deaths in past 24 hours

Dhaka: Bangladesh recorded 31 new deaths due to COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, media reports said.

The death toll due to the virus in the country now stands at 27,470.

The COVID-19 caseload rose to 1,553,873 as 1,310 people tested positive for the disease in the 24 hours to 8 am on Tuesday, according to the latest government data, report bdnews24.

Dhaka registered the most daily deaths and new cases among the eight divisions, logging 13 fatalities and 967 infections, the newspaper reported.

1,195 people recovered from the disease in the past 24 hours.
