Afghanistan: 112 Talibans, including 30 Pakistanis terrorists, killed during airstrikes in Helmand

Kabul: The Afghanistan Defence Ministry on Saturday said 112 Taliban terrorists, including 30 Pakistani affiliated to Al-Qaeda terrorist network, were killed during airstrikes conducted by the country's air force in Helmand provincial center on Friday.

The Ministry of Defence tweeted: "112 #Taliban terrorists including 30 #Pakistani affiliated to Al-Qaeda terrorist network for indian subcontinent, were killed and 31 others wounded in #airstrikes conducted by #AAF at the outskirts of #Lashkargah city, #Helmand provincial center, yesterday."

Afghanistan has been witnessing a spike in violence in recent times ever since the foreign forces started leaving the country.

The Taliban insurgents have captured several regions in Afghanistan.

The security forces and Taliban insurgents have been engaged in clashes in different corners of the country for several weeks now.
