New Delhi, Aug 30 (IBNS): Indian carrier IndiGo on Friday announced flight operations to Riyadh, making it the airline’s 22nd international and 82nd overall destination.

The new flights will directly connect Delhi with Riyadh and Kuwait, effective from October 11, 2019.

The airline currently operates daily non-stop flight between Mumbai and Jeddah, thereby extending direct connectivity between the capital cities of India and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

William Boulter, Chief Commercial Officer, IndiGo said, “We are very pleased to be opening flights between Delhi and Riyadh, connecting the capitals of both countries and strengthening IndiGo’s presence in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Riyadh has tremendous potential as a centre of commercial and political activity and we are convinced that our services will do well there, as they have done so far to Jeddah.

We are adding services from Mumbai to Riyadh as well, maximizing the commercial potential of connections from India to Riyadh. Furthermore, we are building on our footprint in Kuwait, commencing a service from Delhi, adding to our destinations served to and from this important state in the Middle East”.

Boulter further added, “IndiGo will continue to expand its network in middle-east to meet the requirements of both business and leisure travellers. It is our constant endeavour to provide flexibility of choice to our customers as IndiGo continues to offer them on-time, affordable, courteous and hassle-free flying experience always”.
