Indian Railways connects Sambalpur in Odisha with Jammu

Sambalpur, Aug 9 (IBNS): Sambalpur, an important city in western Odisha, will soon have a direct train connection with Jammu, announced the Railway Board recently.

The Jammu Tawi-Rourkela Express will soon operate from Sambalpur, according to media reports.

The extended service is likely to start on Aug 12, the media quoted the railways as saying.

According to media reports, residents of Sambalpur and adjoining areas have welcomed the move as it will help them travel to and from Allahabad on pilgrimages.

Besides, the New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express will go via Sambalpur once a week, media reported.
