Wesley Sneijder announces retirement from international football
Amsterdam, Mar 4 (IBNS):Dutch footballer Wesley Sneijder on Sunday announced his retirement from international football.
He has played for the national team for 15 years.
He made his international debut in 2003.
The debut match was a friendly against Portugal.
In 2017, he played his 133rd and last international match against Romania.
He played important role for his side in the 2010 and 2014 World Cups.
" I feel proud and honoured to have been able to play for my country for 15 years, 9750 minutes, 133 games, 85wins, 31 goals. Football is my all time passion. Good luck to the next generation. Give 100% always! Untill we meet again ," he tweeted.
